Houlton Regional Hospital (HRH) is a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) and is the largest employer in the area with 405 employees. The physician practices include Family Practice, Pain Management, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Urology, Podiatry and General Surgery Services, as well as specialty services in our Outpatient Clinics.
Katahdin Valley Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center with 5 locations in northern Maine, including Houlton. KVHC provides services on an income-based sliding-fee schedule to patients for their out of pocket costs making this option very affordable.
The Houlton Parks and Recreation Department manages multiple facilities and athletic venues around Houlton.
As a part of Houlton’s Parks and Recreation Department, the John Millar Civic Center exists as a community space for citizens of all ages to come and enjoy themselves.
Thankful for the Houlton Rec Department and their generosity to our special Olympics basketball team. Marie is not only supportive of our team but finds us a spot weekly to practice during our season. Much gratitude from all of us.
